Old fashioned, fully tiled, dark bathroom, in need of modernisation!

Because it was fully tiled it had to be stripped right back to the stud work and re-plastered.

Fully water resistant boarding around the bath/shower area.

 

Plus a neat trick! As the room is quite small, to save space I set the bathroom cabinet into the cavity stud wall, gaining a few precious inches.

The finished result, a beautifully contemporary design.

The final master stroke was to flood this internal room, with no windows, with light!  by adding a Velux 1400mm Sun Tunnel. What a difference.
